Wow. That's really all there is to say about Will Thomas, a 12-year-old from Virginia who spent three days—yes, three days—over his Labor Day Weekend shooting jump shots to help raise money for the families of the 17 Navy SEALs who died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan last month. He started out with a goal of hitting 17,000 jumpers and asked people to pledge something for every one he made. But he ended up surpassing that goal and hitting a remarkable 20,317 jumpers after spending more than 50 hours in his driveway taking shots. As a result, he was able to raise $34,000 for the SEALs' families.
"Shooting baskets, for me, is something that I love to do," Thomas told WUSA9 in Virginia, "and the fact that I could do it to help the families of the SEALs, I thought that was great."
